Whey Isolate vs Concentrate: which one should you buy?
Both come from milk, both build muscle. Here's how filtration, lactose and price actually differ.

Whey protein is the liquid left over when milk is turned into cheese. After filtering and drying it becomes the powder you know — but how far it is filtered changes what you get.
Whey concentrate
Usually 70–80% protein by weight, with a little lactose and fat left in. It is the cheaper option and tastes creamier.
Whey isolate
Filtered further to 90%+ protein. Almost no lactose or fat, which makes it easier on sensitive stomachs.
Which one fits you?
- Budget first: concentrate gives more protein per pound spent.
- Lactose sensitive or cutting: isolate is worth the premium.
- Either way: total daily protein matters far more than the type.
